WINST UIT JE WONING

Accelerating the sustainability of existing homes offers enormous potential for energy savings across Europe. However, homeowners often find the process of making their homes more sustainable complex. Winst uit je woning helps homeowners by facilitating collective purchasing of sustainability measures and simplifying the process for service providers. This makes investing in home sustainability more efficient, easier, and more cost-effective.
.

To speed up the sustainability of homes, Winst uit je Woning has received a €1.9 million subsidy from the LIFE Clean Energy Transition Fund.

The Strength of Winst uit je Woning

Winst uit je Woning informs homeowners about relevant sustainability measures, such as HR++ glass, solar panels, cavity wall, floor, or ground insulation. Interested homeowners are then connected with local contractors who provide advice and carry out the work. This approach not only simplifies the sustainability process for homeowners but also streamlines the acquisition process for contractors. Since 2015, Winst uit je Woning has supported over 350 contractors with this unique proposition.

Growth through White Label

To truly accelerate the sustainability transition, a white-label solution is being developed. This allows, for example, mortgage providers, municipalities, or energy companies to offer relevant sustainability information to their customers under their own brand identity. This approach can make homes across Europe more sustainable, not just in the Netherlands.

In collaboration with TNO, replication and operational strategies are being developed for other EU member states, potentially accelerating the sustainability of the European housing stock. During this project alone, at least €300 million will be invested in sustainability measures across up to 19,000 homes, resulting in up to 60,000 tons of CO₂ emission reduction per year.

About LIFE

The LIFE Clean Energy Transition program has a budget of nearly €1 billion for 2021–2027, aiming to facilitate the transition to a climate-neutral and resilient economy. It funds coordination and support projects across Europe with high EU added value, focusing on overcoming socioeconomic and market barriers. The Winst uit je Woning and TNO initiative is one of only four projects selected from 18 submissions across Europe. This approval, given the competitive nature of the subsidy, is an impressive recognition of the project’s innovative approach.

Collaboration with Ugoo

Since 2021, Ugoo has been the strategic subsidy partner for Winst uit je Woning, advising throughout the entire process, from identifying subsidies to setting up administration.

“With this contribution from the LIFE Clean Energy Transition Fund, Winst uit je Woning can make a significant impact on making homes across Europe more sustainable, and the support from Ugoo has been invaluable in securing the subsidy.”
