FYNCH MOBILITY

In the Netherlands, a quarter of total CO₂ emissions come from vehicles, half of which are work-related. To meet the goals of the Green Deal, companies with more than 100 employees have been required since 1 July 2024 to track and report the CO₂ emissions of their work-related mobility under the new WPM Directive (Work-Related Passenger Mobility Reporting Obligation). Fynch addresses this need with an innovative app that not only simplifies emissions tracking but also actively motivates employees to travel in healthier and more sustainable ways.

The Journey to CO₂-Neutral Mobility

Fynch has an ambitious mission: by 2030, it aims to activate over 10 million people to travel sustainably and healthily. The Fynch app encourages users to make conscious, eco-friendly travel choices, rewarding healthy travel behavior directly. The platform not only supports organizations with trip registration and reimbursement but also simplifies WPM reporting, helping companies reach their CO₂-neutral mobility goals faster.

The Strength of Fynch

The Fynch platform is built around three innovative pillars that together provide a future-proof solution for administrative processes and promoting CO₂-neutral travel behavior:

  • Automatic Tracking and Reimbursement: The platform automatically records commuting, business trips, and remote work days, making reimbursement easy. Real-time insights into costs, CO₂ emissions, and personalized mobility maps simplify the entire process, saving time and effort for both employees and employers.

  • WPM Compliance Made Simple: The WPM requires employers to collect and process mobility data from multiple sources. Fynch offers a user-friendly solution that provides complete insight into all required data.

  • Behavioral Motivation: Using scientific insights into behavioral change, the platform motivates employees by providing feedback on personal travel behavior, a rewards program with Fynch Coins, and flexible mobility allowances that can be customized to company preferences.

Collaboration with Ugoo

Since 2021, Ugoo has been Fynch’s strategic subsidy partner. This relatively short but highly productive partnership supports Fynch in achieving its ambitious goals. By maintaining periodic discussions throughout the year, Ugoo stays fully up-to-date on Fynch’s developments and proactively matches them with relevant sustainability and innovation funding programs, such as REACT-EU and WBSO. Ugoo handles the entire subsidy process from drafting and submitting applications to managing administration, including interim reporting and final reports, minimizing the client’s workload so Fynch can focus on its innovative developments.

About REACT-EU

REACT-EU is part of the Kansen voor West initiative, aimed at stimulating economic recovery after COVID-19 while accelerating the transition to a greener and digital economy. Ugoo identified a perfect match between Fynch’s innovative app and this program, given its strong focus on CO₂ reduction. This resulted in a subsidy of over €400,000, accelerating the app’s development. This financial support not only underscores the importance of the project but also gives Fynch the resources to make a significant impact on a sustainable future. With this support, Fynch has taken a major step toward realizing its mission.
