BPROCARE
Healthcare Communication Platform
BproCare was founded with a clear goal: to restore control and autonomy to both patients and healthcare staff. Founder Christian Plakké emphasizes: “Ideally, every patient would have continuous support from a ‘buddy’ or family member, but that is simply not feasible.” To address this, BproCare explored how technology could replace this “buddy,” resulting in the Healthcare Communication Platform. This platform provides innovative technology for alerting, communication, and self-reliance in elderly care, disability care, and home care. These solutions contribute to more efficient care processes while focusing on what truly matters: human contact.
The next generation of healthcare technology: two recent developments
One standout innovation is the Wellbeing Radar, a technology that scans the (moving) environment using harmless radio waves. This lifestyle monitoring system is compact and easy to mount on a ceiling. It detects when a person falls and collects data to track activity patterns and identify early signs of declining health. The Wellbeing Radar works even in the dark, uses no cameras, and always safeguards privacy.
Another example of technology meeting care is the Medical Tab, an innovative tablet that can be mounted on a hospital bed or the back wall of a patient room. Its purpose is to make communication between patient and healthcare staff more personal and clear. This allows for faster responses to calls and helps patients better understand their care situation.
“ “I first got to know Ugoo at a company I previously managed. I really appreciated their collaborative approach, creativity, and flexibility. At BproCare, it was always a challenge to properly document the WBSO application and guide it through the process. With Ugoo, this has become much clearer and easier!”
Collaboration between Ugoo and BproCare
Since 2021, Ugoo has been BproCare’s strategic partner for subsidies. During this period, three WBSO projects have been set up for the innovations BproCare is developing. Ugoo and BproCare regularly review the internal development roadmap to update WBSO applications or explore other funding opportunities. In addition, Ugoo also supports the setup of internal administration. It’s a great collaboration—here’s to many more years of innovation in healthcare!
