EFRO OPZuid
OPZuid is the regional EFRO program for Zeeland, Noord-Brabant en Limburg. The program subsidizes projects that contribute to innovative solutions on 5 large societal transitions. These solutions play a part worldwide as well as in specific regions. Furthermore, the solutions lead to utilization of (inter)national market opportunities.

OPZuid funds digitization, technological and non-technological innovations. Projects need to be innovative, have societal impact and provide future perspective in a financial and economical sense. Projects at the end of the development cycle, in the demonstration phase or in the implementation phase are eligible.

What is OPZuid?
OPZuid funds developments which adhere to two European policy objectives:
A smarter Europe:

(Further) development of innovative business value chains
A greener Europe:

Local application of innovations concerning sustainable energy production, energy systems and energy networks
Am I eligible for OPZuid?
You can apply for subsidy when you have at least one collaboration partner and one of both is based in the region. The other party may be based outside of the region, provided this has an absolute added value for the development of value chains. Furthermore, at least one SME is required within the collaboration which applies for subsidy. Other parties can be a knowledge institution, government, citizen cooperative or intermediary organization. Your project must match with a call for proposal and fit within the five societal transitions.
What must I do for OPZuid?
Develop something which matches a call for proposal of OPZuid and fits within the five societal transitions which are listed below. Your project must be innovative, have societal impact and provide future perspective in a financial and economical sense. Projects at the end of the development cycle, in the demonstration phase or in the implementation phase are eligible.
What do I gain through OPZuid?
The subsidy reimburses a maximum of €1 million per project. The maximum subsidy amount is 35% of the eligible costs. The investment budget must be at least €1 million in order to eligible to apply. This means the program subsidizes at least €350.000 per project.
