Van technische arbeidsbemiddeling naar subsidieadvies
Ik werk sinds 2019 bij Ugoo. Daarvoor was ik jarenlang actief in de technische arbeidsbemiddeling. Het samenwerken met techbedrijven vond ik daarin leuk, maar het werk werd op den duur te oppervlakkig. In mijn huidige functie combineer ik die liefde voor tech met de inhoudelijke projecten van klanten, en dat is precies de match die ik zocht.
Mijn werk bij Ugoo richt zich vooral op grote klanten met complexe WBSO-trajecten. Het organiseren en structureren van WBSO-aanvragen binnen grote organisaties met meerdere development teams spreekt me aan omdat je daarin echt als sparringpartner fungeert en in nauw contact staat met de teams op de werkvloer. Intern begeleid ik daarnaast consultants in hun inhoudelijke werk en persoonlijke ontwikkeling.

My view on funding
In initial conversations with entrepreneurs, I regularly hear that applying for funding takes a lot of time and effort, sometimes more than it is worth. There is also a common assumption that a funding advisor simply writes the application. Both misconceptions deserve some nuance, as the reality is often quite different.
As a funding advisor, I do more than just write an application. The real added value lies in the expertise behind it: identifying opportunities, making the right connections and truly understanding how technology development works in practice, for example within agile development processes. I translate the client’s day-to-day reality into what the government requires and also support them with compliance, such as setting up the administration and preparing for audits.
A well-structured funding process requires very little time from my clients. I take care of both the application and the processes around it, creating an efficient setup that fits seamlessly into their existing processes.

In seven years at Ugoo, I have submitted around 300 successful applications across various funding programmes and tax incentives, securing more than €20 million in funding in total.
